The Ebb and Flow

Moses Love at Yoga Elements in Menasha, WI.
I had the privilege last night of sitting in with Moses Love from Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin, as he created an incredible sound healing at Yoga Elements. Heather Poyner brought the beats, and I was able to weave in flutes, guitar, and vocals.
It was also a beautiful reunion with old friends, Crystal Hill and Kathy Davis, from my early yoga days in Appleton at the former Midwest Power Yoga. There’s something about reconnecting across time that adds another layer to the experience—like threads picking back up right where they left off.
Although it’s been 17 years since Moses and I last worked together, we’ve stayed in touch and remained supportive of one another along the way. These days, he’s also serving as a caregiver for his 89-year-old father—a role that speaks just as loudly as the music he creates.
Th3 R3vibal Evolution in the Fox Valley of Wisconsin
I’ve been leading Kirtan in one form or another for the past 15 years, talk about ebb and flow. Over that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many incredible people as they’ve flowed in and out of my life: David Newman, Ragani, Jai Uttal, Kaita Bliffert, Ryan Hader, and the list goes on. I’m deeply grateful for all of them.
Now, I’m excited to welcome Tom Jones, a saxophonist and music educator. This guy knows his stuff, and his expertise is incredibly welcome as we step into the newest phase of our local Kirtan evolution. Tom brings 42 years of professional experience, with a background in music education. He has performed extensively across Texas and Wisconsin in numerous bands and has recorded with a variety of artists. He’s also a familiar presence at Wisconsin Timber Rattlers games, where he’s often invited to play the national anthem, and he has recently auditioned to do the same for the Green Bay Packers.
There are eight of us now: Sheila, Jon, Hannah, Ashtyn, Gwen, Jesse, Tom, and me.
Th3 R3vibal Global - Next Podcast: Jana Holland….May 14th
Jana Holland, speaking and living from the shores of Byron Bay, where the ocean seems to mirror the inner work she guides others toward.
Jana is a somatic trauma therapist and spiritual director, but those titles only point toward something deeper—an ability to sit with what is, without needing to fix or rush it. Her work weaves together body awareness, contemplative practice, and a quiet kind of listening that invites people back to themselves.
There is a steadiness in how she meets the world. Not as something to be solved, but as something to be felt, honored, and slowly understood. Whether through conversation, retreat, or simple presence, Jana creates space for healing to unfold in its own time.
At heart, she is also a musician, storyteller, and someone who knows that not everything meaningful can be explained, but much of it can be experienced.
